Aquamarine is 7 1/2 - 8. Most aquamarine is heat treated, but stable. It matches its name in color at its best. Courage, harmony and peace are created when you look deeply into an Aquamarine. It is calming, and has been used to alleviate throat problems, swollen glands and eyes. While it aligns the chakras, there is a special affinity for the throat. Aquamarine is October's birthstone and an alternate for March.
